The programs that we support in Huntsville, Alabama include Ground-based Midcourse Defense, Next Gen Interceptor, precision-guided munitions, and Integrated Air & Missile Defense products (PAC-3, Avenger, ABMD); National Team, and Strategic Deterrence Systems (which includes Minuteman ICBM support and guidance system repair).
The Missile Defense Programs in the Huntsville site include Command and Control Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC), Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), and Missile Defense National Team - Engineering (MDNT-E).

Responsibilities:
Your duties may include (but are not limited to):
Evaluate systems under various scenarios and architectures to determine and/or optimize overall system mission performance in a framework giving insight into performance that may be employed by Missile Defense Agency and WarfightersDevelop and maintain analysis tools of varied fidelity including modeling and simulation tools to predict performance against evolving threats of current and future missile defense systemsPerforms various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architectureDevelops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processesDefines, schedules, assigns, and executes tasks, and monitors completion to lead the monitoring of integration and checkout activities, receiving and evaluating of results of activities, and approving/disapproving of each by determining whether results meet the checkout requirements, so that integration activities can proceedServing as a subject matter expert for integration and test domains, system engineering system performance/ domains, system-specific issues, processes, tools, and regulationsLead efforts to solve complex missile defense problemsUtilization of MBSE tools such as DOORS, System Architect and mathematical modeling and simulation to provide thought leadership and lead trade studies in assigned areasRequirements and architecture development in support of MDS systemsYou will be expected to drive the system engineering integration and test or system analysis approach.

Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification:
Bachelor's and 14 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 12 or more years' experience or PhD degree with 9 or more years' experience.
Bachelor, master or doctorate of science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
