Boeing's Defense & Space, Missile Weapons Systems Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (ABMD) Program is seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer - Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (ABMD) (Level 3) to join our team in Huntsville, AL.
Position
Responsibilities:
Responsible Engineer in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophiesRefine, validate, coordinate and implement conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for buildDevelop plans and oversees plan optimizationResolve complex technical problemsServe as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintainedLead advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunitiesDeploy company Lean Enterprise analysis methodsDocument and communicate producibility best practicesProvide guidance to others through structured mentoringWork Authorization:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.
An interim and/or final U.
S.
secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry3 or more years of experience in Missile Defense ProgramsProficient utilizing the Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Have or have held an active U.
S.
Security Clearance in the past 24 monthsTypical Education/
Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.
g.
Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.
g.
PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
